ANVISA is an obligatory process for chemical, drugs, foodstuff, medical, dental supplies and any other perishable product; other items may also be considered under this category by the Brazilian Customs Authority. This is regardless of of weight, volume or declared value of the contents in any items come under ANVISA ruling.
ANVISA Process must be completed by the consignee, due to local restrictions our agent can not provide this service on behalf of the consignee.
Consignee needs to fill out an ANVISA form which is located on a government website, pay an inspection fee, the application and the payment for the inspection can be completed through the internet at the time of filling the ANVISA form.
The Brazilian Customs Authority may need to be provided with additional paperwork to process the inspection this will be indicated to the consignee at the time of filling out the form. The inspection fee paid by the consignee is also not fixed, and due to the procedure itself the consignee is the only one who will know the amount. Once all the paperwork has been completed and the fee is paid, consignee must return all paperwork back to our agent to complete the clearance process.
If consignee uses the services of a broker other than our agent appointed brokers and decides to complete the clearance with their own broker than we will not be able to to advise additional information of the status of the clearance.
